Individual Travel Consultations are a critical step in preparation for a safe travel experience. To begin your travel consultation, send a secure message to Student Health via the portal. You will then be given a travel questionnaire to complete. You must submit this no less than 30 days prior to your travel.
Once the Individual Travel Consultation form is submitted you will be contacted for an appointment.
Walk-in travel appointments will not be accepted due to the amount of research that must take place prior to your travel consultation.
Group travel i.e. Engineers Without Borders, Miner Challenge, etc. require a conference with the team leader or advisor in addition to Individual Travel Consultations. Trip leads or advisors can contact firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a meeting.
Vaccinations are a key component in your travel planning.
The CDC (Center for Disease Control) and WHO (World Health Organization) recommend that ALL travelers have routine vaccines current:
MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus)
yearly Influenza vaccine
Some areas of overseas travel will require:
Yellow Fever Vaccine
Some of the vaccines and medications must be started weeks prior to your travel. It is critical that you start this process as early as possible.
Please visit the CDC’s website for the most up to date information for travelers for the area you will be visiting.
